She had a strong classical education and was well versed in many subjects. She taught English, typing, and business education in a variety of settings including high school, training programs and community college. Her interests were diverse. Rita will be most remembered for her ability to talk, fierce independence, passion for music, and her faith. Rita was active in the Duxbury Senior Center and loved the continuing education programs they offered. As a member of the Holy Family Parish in Duxbury and the low vision group in Plymouth, she found companionship and support as her sight and hearing deteriorated.
