Ralph Howard Brown

He was the beloved husband of 35 years to the late Louise “Ann” (Williamson) Brown, who predeceased him in 1988; and Betsey (Pool) Erickson, with whom he shared nearly 25 years of marriage.

Devoted father of Christopher A. Brown and his wife Julie “Missy” of Scituate, Valerie A . Flynn and her husband Lawrence of Scituate and Jennifer L. Pyburn and her husband Thomas of Peabody. Cherished grandfather to 6 and great grandfather to 12.

Loving brother of Frances, Esther, Adelaide and the late Robert, Horace and Leah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ralph was a proud US Navy Veteran. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern University and went on to be employed for more than 40 years as a mechanical engineer with the Draper Corporation, which enabled him to travel the world until his retirement in 1986.

Ralph enjoyed touring many European countries by bicycle and ballroom dancing with his wife Betsey. He was an avid golfer and took great pride in creating Nantucket baskets.

A graveside committal service will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11 AM at Union Cemetery, Stockbridge Road, Scituate. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
