He was the beloved son of John F. Ryan and Lisa Ward Ryan and the loving brother to Madeline M. Ryan and Nicholas H. Ryan of Scituate.
Parker was the devoted grandson of Judith Y. Ward and the late Stephen L. Ward of Cohasset, and the late Dorothy A. Ryan of Scituate.
He shared a special bond with his aunt Leanne W. Kearney and cousin Ronan P. Kearney of Hanover, as well as his other aunts and uncles: Tom and Deb Ryan of Stow, Dede and Edward Nickerson of Sandwich, Cliff and Laurene Ryan of S. Portland, ME, Rita and Deron Mason of Midlothian, VA; and loving cousins Amy Malone, Heather Nelson, Stephanie Hofford, Meghan O’Connor and Kaitlin Ryan and their significant others. He was the nephew of the late Theresa J. Ryan, Scituate and Paul R. Kearney, Hanover.
Parker had just returned home to Scituate after four months in Palo Alto, CA working at NOVO Construction for his co-op semester. He drove out and back in his 1994 Chevy Van, which he spent two months customizing for the cross-country trips.
Parker spent his younger years at the K of C Pool, on the lacrosse field or at the skate park. Many good times were had with Cedarwood Road and Cornerstone Lane neighbors in our backyard pool, sledding, shooting hoops or skating on homebuilt ramps. He attended Scituate public schools and graduated from Scituate High School in 2018. Following a post-grad year swinging a hammer for a few local builders, he attended UMass Boston before transferring to Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he was majoring in Construction Management. The past summer and during the school year he worked at Heritage Restoration, Rockland, but could never say no to covering a few shifts at CP’s Pizza or picking up odd jobs on Scituate Monthly facebook page.
Parker had a passion for mechanics and carpentry and was truly a “jack of all trades.” His interests and hobbies were as varied and diverse as his eclectic taste in music, clothes and vehicles. Skate boarding, fishing, skiing and snowboarding all over NH and VT… motorcycle rides, cooking up a big meal with friends or family, helping out at church, walking Moose at Ant Hill or Norris Reservation…getting greasy and working on a project in the shop with the boys, and so many weekends spent with longtime friend Lexie Riccardi camping, hiking, thrifting, beaching or just hanging out. There were never enough hours in the day for him.
As a family we enjoyed trips to Maine, Martha’s Vineyard, Pocasset, and Florida- camping, riding ATV’s, sightseeing and exploring new areas. We traveled all over New England for Madeline and Parker’s lacrosse tournaments- forced family fun at its finest! There were many laughs and memories made during backyard cookouts and lobster fests, on holidays, enjoying a meal we cooked together, game nights, shooting pool, playing cornhole.
We are heartbroken at the loss of Parker, but comforted by how many people considered Parker “a really good friend.” He lived each day to the fullest and touched the lives of many people from coast to coast.
