Born in Boston, MA to John and Ruth Moulds, she grew up on Silloway St. in St. Mark’s Parish, Dorchester. As a child, Nancy loved summering in Scituate and once married made it her permanent home.
Nancy graduated from Suffolk University where she met the love of her life Richard “Dick” Wilson. They married on July 2, 1960 and lovingly raised six children.
A beloved school teacher of 22 years at St. Paul School, Hingham she made a lasting impact on many students and families as well as lifelong friendships.
Nancy was the happiest when surrounded by her dedicated children and adoring grandchildren. She loved to golf, garden, swim and soak up the sunshine. She was a loyal fan of her New England sports teams. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends in her warm, welcoming home. She was well known for her holiday parties, especially Memorial Day cookouts with her legendary Boston Baked Beans. Her favorite vacation destinations were Walt Disney World and many winters in Naples, Florida.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years Richard H. Wilson. Her loving children, Nancy Palubicki and husband Dave, Cheryl Wilson and husband Rick Jakubowski, Richard Wilson and wife Celia Rutkoski, Tara Lumnah and husband Gary, Kristen Filardi and late husband Joe, Kevin Wilson and wife Marianne. She also leaves 13 grandchildren; David, Matthew (Anna), Jillian (Sutton), Colleen, Erin, Bridget, Danny, Sophie, Audrey, Mia, Connor, Brendan and Mackenzie.
Beloved sister of Ruth “Chickie” Hardin and late husband Bill, predeceased by brother John Moulds and wife Ronda. Survived by many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Eileen Shea.
The family of Nancy would like to thank her special friend Debbie Sherman, Cardigan Nursing Home, and NVNA Hospice for their loving care.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, October 23 from 4-7 PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 24 at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Nativity, 1 Kent Street, Scituate. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.
