Mary Veronica Horne

Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Denis and Margaret Cahalane. Devoted wife of the late Edward P. Horne. She is survived by her loving children, Patricia Gustafson, Marjorie Zucker and her fiancé Jeff Jordan all of Scituate. Beloved Mimi to Eric, Marc, Scott Gustafson and great grandmother of Ella Gustafson. Dear sister of Brendan Cahalane of Sandwich, Margaret Brown of MD, the late Thomas, Francis, Donald, David Cahalane and Joan Ferry. Also survived by her brothers and sisters in law, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Ronnie enjoyed traveling and took trips all over the world with her dear friend Madeleine. She was an avid reader. Ronnie found great joy in helping to raise her grandsons. She was a former Vice President at Scituate Federal Savings Bank. After her retirement, she worked part-time at several jobs until her official retirement at the age of 81. The family would to thank the staff at Cardigan Nursing Home for their care and compassion.

Visiting Hours will be on Friday, Jan. 2nd from 4PM – 8PM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sat. Jan 3rd at 10AM at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St, Scituate. Burial will be private.
