Kevin M. Donohoe

Kevin M. Donohoe, aged 61 of Plymouth, passed away suddenly on March 19, 2025. He is survived by his children, Katherine and Jack Donohoe of Plymouth; his mother Margaret Donohoe of Marshfield; his siblings, Patricia Donohoe of Hingham, Maureen Callahan of Pembroke, Jo-Anne Anderson of Scituate, and Brian Donohoe of Arlington, VA; predeceased by his father, Martin Donohoe, and his brother, Timothy Donohoe. Kevin is also survived by his loving nephews, a niece, and many cousins.

Kevin was born on September 27, 1963. As a life-long friend to many, Kevin frequently enjoyed experiencing nature and sharing his love of the outdoors with those closest to him. He took pleasure in sailing, skiing, hiking, and going to the beach with those he loved. Kevin took every opportunity to find peace and inspiration within nature. His passion for the wilderness was matched by his love and admiration for music, especially The Grateful Dead as they were a huge part of his life, which he, in turn, taught and inspired his children and friends with their music. Music was a daily part of his life, listening or playing, it was a core value of Kevin’s.

Kevin’s pride and joy were his children. Attending countless of his son’s soccer games and his daughter’s swim meets brought him great joy. Backyard wiffle ball tournaments, driveway basketball games, or just conversations on long car rides with his children was what brought Kevin great happiness.

Kevin was a devoted son and brother; he was the first to offer up help when someone was in need.

A soul full of raw passion, a storyteller that could captivate any audience, someone who could connect with anyone he encountered bringing them wisdom, laughter, and love, will forever be in our hearts as we continue to finish the goal he started. Kevin’s legacy of love for his family, blood or not, his music, and the outdoors will live on through all of us.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 3pm-7pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 10am at Saint Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.
