Ken Moore, 72, longtime resident of Scituate passed away on the afternoon of December 29, 2021 after an illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Pamela J. (Foley) Moore, with whom he shared nearly 40 years of marriage before her sudden passing in 2014.
Born in Boston, he was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam era, stationed overseas in both Thailand and the Philippines. As a father of two young sons, he worked during the day and went to night school for many years and worked hard to earn his Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University, which led him to a long career in the HVAC field. As a skilled engineer, earned the title of Professional Engineer (P.E.), an accomplishment of which he took great pride. He was an avid sports fan and rarely missed a Patriots game. Ken was a passionate golfer and travelled to his favorite courses to play, often with his sons in tow.
He was the devoted father of Stephen and his wife Heather of Scituate and Gregory and his wife Eileen of Scituate. Cherished “Papa“ of Brooke, Bridget and Daniel.
Loving brother of Jeffrey A. and his wife Ann of Carver, Douglas J. and his wife Birgit of California, Edward R. and his wife Kathy of Scituate, Donald F. and his wife Jill of Kittery, ME and Sharon Moore Gill and her husband Gerry of East Bridgewater. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 4-8 PM. Masks are kindly required to be worn regardless of vaccination status.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 9 AM at St. Helen’s Church, 383 Washington St, Norwell followed by interment with US Air Force military funeral honors at Cudworth Cemetery in Scituate, where he will be laid to rest beside his dearly missed late wife, Pam.
