Julia Frances Flaherty (Franny), 88 of Scituate passed away at home on January 29th. Born in Dorchester, MA on August 22, 1935 to the late Julia and John Murphy, Fran was the wife of the late Joseph F. Flaherty, sister of the late Helen Tardanico and John Murphy.
Franny was known for her outgoing personality, always making people with laugh with her humor and wit. Fran enjoyed her family, swimming, bird watching, spending time in the ocean and Hillard’s chocolates. She was a great listener and had a profound impact on the lives of those who knew her.
Fran is survived by her loving children, daughters Mary Flaherty and Sheila Regan, sons Joseph Flaherty, Chris Flaherty and his wife Denise, and son Brian Flaherty. She was also the beloved grandmother to Patrick, Sam, Liam, Becky, Jack and Rosa.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday February 9, 2024 at 10am at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate MA.
