Joe was born October 12, 1945 to his parents, Margaret and John Boyle from Milton, Massachusetts. Joe was a middle child in a large family with 9 brothers and sisters. He grew up roaming the Blue Hills, reading at the Boston Public Library, building muscle cars with his brothers and making new friends every place he went.
Joe was not someone who gave much thought to what other people thought of him and was always willing to help someone in need. For many years, Joe was a successful small business owner in the Roxbury area. With a lifelong interest in machines and automobiles, he later went on to start a boutique exotic car brokerage where he connected people with rare and hard to find vehicles. Later in life, Joe's interest in helping people led him to a career as a counselor and respite provider working with developmentally challenged and troubled youth through the Department of Social Services.
Joe was married to the love of his life, Rosemary Boyle, for 46 years. They shared many years together in their home on Humarock Beach, raising two children, watching the surf and enjoying each other’s company. Joe is survived by his wife, Rosemary, his daughter, Jennifer Boyle, his son, Josh Boyle and wife Amanda Boyle, and his grandchildren, Cassidy and Ronan, who love and miss him dearly. Joe is also survived by his sisters, Valerie Boyle and Marie DiMarco. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and John, his brothers Peter, John, James and Eddie, and his sisters, Louise, Beverly and Priscilla.
Joe was known as someone who made friends quickly and would always have a quick laugh or smile at the ready for anyone he met. Even at the very end when he had trouble communicating verbally, his infectious smile and facial expressions provided his family with comfort in knowing that although his body was failing him, he was still there. Joe will be loved and missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
