I'm really sad to hear about John. Sending my heartfelt condolences during this tough time.

Working with him at Oracle was a blast. We had some great banter, and his pretend grumpiness always cracked me up. He never missed a chance to talk about his family, especially his grandkids.  He will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with John the last several years and it was such a pleasure. He was a great friend and co-worker that we will miss.

Dear Deb, Kelly, Casey and Dorian- we are so sorry for your loss. I loved getting to spend time with John throughout the years, with our going back and forth on which city was a better sports city, he never backed down. Probably one on my favorite memories was walking around Gettysburg and having him play out the battle and strategies as we walked the battlefield. He was a true lover of history and loved to talk about it! John, you will truly be missed!

My father's passion for travel took him and my mom all across the country and over to Ireland for their 15th wedding anniversary. He always angled to go to Las Vegas; he spoke fondly of these plans, his eyes lighting up at the prospect of the adventure and entertainment that awaited.

My father was more than just a man of interests; he was our family's rock. He spent countless hours as a coach on the baseball, football, and even soccer fields. For over 20 years, he never missed our dance recitals and other events, always there cheering us and his grandchildren on with immense pride and love.

Visiting his girls, Dorion, Aubrie, Ella, and Everly, in New Hampshire was a monthly highlight for him, just like watching movies with Bill. He cherished watching Jack, Miles, and Connor play baseball and clapping for Lyla and Charlotte at their dance recitals. Popi’s constant support on the sidelines was so encouraging.

Creating lasting memories with the family was one of his deepest joys. Our annual summer getaways were filled with warmth and laughter—a tradition we all looked forward to. The Sunday dinners were more than just meals; they were vibrant gatherings that brought our family together. At these dinners, Mo always had a story to share, and Dad loved hearing them. His conversations with John were something he always enjoyed, especially when they involved sports. He particularly loved relaxing on the deck with Casey, swapping stories, savoring a cigar, discussing sports, and enjoying music together. These moments weren't just about being together; they were the building blocks of our strong family bond, reflecting the enduring love and legacy he leaves behind.

In the words of the great Jerry Garcia, "There is a road, no simple highway, between the dawn and the dark of night. And if you go, no one may follow; that path is for your steps alone."

Today, we come together to celebrate a remarkable man, my beloved father, who touched so many hearts. Reflecting on his life, I'm reminded of his varied experiences, the joy he spread, and the lasting impact he had on all of us.

Growing up in Southie, a neighborhood that shaped his character and instilled in him a deep sense of community, he learned the value of loyalty, hard work, and the importance of family. Those roots remained with him throughout his life, shaping the person he became. His childhood adventures with the N&8th group were filled with laughter and camaraderie, setting the foundation for lifelong friendships.

1976 was a special year for my parents - it's when their love story really began. My mom calls it the best year of his life, and he would jokingly call it the most expensive. That year was full of concerts and time with friends, setting the foundation of their love. Their 48 years together showed the strength of their love, facing life's ups and downs together with constant support and devotion.

Hard work was a cornerstone of my father's life. He worked tirelessly, providing for our family and ensuring that we had every opportunity to succeed. He worked long hours and made sacrifices to give us the best life possible. His work ethic was unmatched. He taught us the value of perseverance and instilled in us the belief that anything was possible with a plan.

Our home was always filled with music, especially the Grateful Dead. My dad loved these tunes; they were like the background music of his life. He often went to live shows with his music group. He also loved playing golf and spending time with his Poquoy Boys. His interest in the Civil War showed his love for learning, especially about American history. I fondly remember our trips to Gettysburg, where he knew all the battle stories by heart—we never needed a tour guide

I had the pleasure of working with John. He was and is a great guy and I'm glad to have to have known him.

So Sorry for your Loss, I worked with John at Oracle... He as a great team member and Friend.  John love to talk about sports and his grandchildren.   He will be missed.

I already miss you so much. I'm happy that your not in pain anymore and your in a better place. You were my favorite grandparent, you alway made me happy when I was sad, always brought me up. I'm going to miss going to the movies with you and sharing popcorn even if you always ate it all. Most of it ended up on floor anyway because you alway missed your mouth. I'm going to miss going on random drives in your new sport car. You looked so happy driving it. I always remember talking about how if you ever got rid of it I could have it and I absolutely love that car. I’ll always remember our trips to Disney and Universal they were one of the best parts of my life. It’s really hard to think you're not in my life anymore. I'm going to miss you. When you would always squeeze my cheeks every time you could. I love you Popi.  I hope you watch over me in heaven for eternity I love you so much

So sad to for all of you with the passing of your Husband and dad, John will be missed, he always had something interesting to say especially when we play cards or board games.  He always showed an interest in children’s sports or activities whether it was baseball, dance, or football, or music, he was always there cheering them on. An avid golfer and a guru of all sports, he also loved the casinos. We will miss him forever.  He was a family first kind a guy, always looking out for the children. Our prayers and thoughts are with you Deb, and to Kelly, Casey , Dorion and the kids. Love and prayers.
