He was the beloved husband of Linda (Hajjar) Norton, the love of his life, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late John H. and Marion (Curley) Norton. After graduating from South Boston High School, Jack enlisted in the United States Air Force. After 3 years of service, he went on to start his 30 year long career working for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority as a construction inspector. Upon retirement, Jack and Linda would frequently visit their favorite vacation spot, Aruba.
Having a great sense of humor, Jack would often be found making everyone laugh by telling a joke or sharing a story over a Heineken at T.K.O. Malley’s in Scituate Harbor. Jack was a generous and kind person. He was an avid Boston sport’s fan and a boxer in his younger days. He lived for his wife’s cooking but above all, spending time with his family. His biggest joy was his grandchildren.
