LARSEN, Joan E. (Dwyer) of Scituate, passed away on October 13, 2011, at the age of 71. Joan worked at South Shore Hospital for 20yrs in the X-ray and OR Department. She continued her career at South Shore Urology in Weymouth before retiring.
Loving wife of 36 yrs to David Larsen. Devoted mother of Wayne Athanasiou of Plymouth, Scott Athanasiou and his wife Marissa of Norwell. Sister of Nancy Rice of Nashville, TN. Also survived by a step-grandson, Fred, many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, October 17th from 4PM – 8PM in the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 18th at 10AM in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St, Scituate, followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.
