James "Jimmy" Wigmore

WIGMORE JAMES H. “Jimmy” age 64 of Scituate, passed away on August 18, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Dina (Ghali) Wigmore. Loving son of the late Mary E. (Carter) Wigmore and James H. Wigmore and predeceased by brother Edward Wigmore.

Also, lovingly survived by brother Charles Wigmore of N. Attleboro, and sisters Joanne Keefe and husband Stephen of Scituate, Marie Citrone and husband Anthony of Dedham, Elizabeth Petrie and husband Michael of Foxboro and Donna Lucente and husband Richard of Norfolk and sister-in-law, Sonia Wigmore. Cherished uncle to two nieces and nine nephews, grand uncle to three grand nieces and five grand nephews and loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jimmy had a 35 year career as a computer programmer in the Financial Industry. He was a respected leader and colleague to many, and known as a man of honor and friendship to all. He earned a BA from Leslie University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was an active member of AA and the Parkinson’s community and spent many hours giving back to others in need volunteering at Scituate Etrusco. Jimmy was a champion and fought his Parkinson’s with courage and grace. Jimmy gave the gift of life through organ donation.

Jimmy was a gifted scrabble player, loved walking the beach, reading, traveling and exercising. The most treasured moments in Jimmy’s life were created with his family and friends.

Jimmy will be remembered for his generosity and kindness to all he met.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life with a visitation at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road in Scituate on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street Scituate, MA , followed by interment at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Scituate.
