LITCHFIELD, David Albert – 58, of Pembroke, formerly of Norwell passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2017 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved son of the late Myron and Beverly (Newcomb) Litchfield.
Dave is survived by sister Marcia (Mark) Wilson of Dunstable and brother Jeffrey (Alice) Litchfield of Duncan, SC; nephews Derek Litchfield and Sean Litchfield (Zachary Violette) and one grand niece Makayla Litchfield-Dexter. He is also survived by an immeasurable network of dear, devoted friends and his beloved dog Curtis Lowe.
Dave was an accomplished musician, playing any instrument he laid his hands on. He often composed original songs and could be found performing in the Pembroke area for over 27 years with his bandmates in his Red, White and Blues Band. He was the owner of Litchfield's Art & Sign in Pembroke and worked as a graphic artist: his airbrushing skills can be seen at local businesses throughout Pembroke and the South Shore. He was a longtime member of Scituate’s First Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school for many years.
Visiting hours will take place Monday, July 10, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, SCITUATE. Funeral home service on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10 AM, followed by interment at Groveland Cemetery. Then, a celebration of Dave’s life will be held at GAR Hall, 353 Country Way, SCITUATE from 12:00 - 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Skyller’s Dog and Cat Rescue, Lakeville, MA, 508-923-1115.
