Christopher Robert Brighton

Born in Boston, he was the devoted son of the late Richard J. & Agnes Brighton.

He was the beloved brother of Nancy M. Brighton-Fairbanks & her husband John of Norwell, Barbara J. Pye & her husband William of Scituate, Mary A. Burridge of Humarock and his sister in law Lori Brighton of Carver. Predeceased by his siblings Katherine Frigault , Richard J. Brighton, Jr. and Patrick J. Brighton, and his brothers in law Joseph Frigault & David Burridge. He is also survived by his many cherished nieces and nephews.

Chris was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp, 1968-1971, where he served in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart Recipient.

From 1978-1992 he was an MDC police officer and was awarded a George L. Hanna Memorial Award for Bravery.

He served as a State Trooper with the Massachusetts State Police from 1992 until his retirement in 2008.

Funeral services from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home Wed. Feb. 4, 2015 at 9:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate, MA. Private interment at a later date.

Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
