Dear Jean and family. Kathleen and I just heard the sad news at Mass this weekend. Always seeing you both in your favorite seat at St. Mary's tells us that your deep faith will sustain you through this difficult time. Meeting Carl so many years ago while hurting off of Hull with Pat Casey and the years of support you both had for conservation shows the true meaning of the word Sportsman. Carl would always be willing to share with me some of his favorite spots for stripers and as usual there they were producing dinner for the table.  Kathleen and I were talking to Jeff Beck on Thursday the 12th about how you both welcomed us to your beautiful home in Marshfield when we considered moving into the neighborhood. Carl and your family will be added to our prayers. God bless. James and Kathleen Tringale.

I will forever miss uncle “curl”. I will miss seeing my dad in him and hearing his voice in his. I know Nini and Papa, my dad and uncle Al all welcomed him home.. I’m pretty  sure  they are having a drink and keeping everyone in heaven laughing.  All my love to you all ❤️

50 years ago Carl strolled into class at Coyne in Boston and a lifelong friendship was born.  Carl and John worked together at Norman Associates then their careers diverged.  Their antics were outrageous at times but meant to entertain.  They renovated Carl and Jean's first home on Gilson Rd together. John attended Carl's wedding and he came to ours.  Then there was the yearly hunting weekend with the 4 friends from Coyne.  Nary a deer was ever seen but that was never the intent.  There was laughter, stories, and oh the memories.  Carl, we will miss you dear friend.

I worked with Bobby Wagner years back as a PO in Canton , and grew up in Canton . I more recently would see Carl and Jean at the marina or Haddads, as I had a boat in Scituate for years and moved to Marshfield in 04.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Wagner Family. I could go on forever with nothing but great memories with Carl. I got to know him when I was a kid at SRGC when I was first learning to shoot skeet. He always liked busting my dads chops in the skeet league. I always enjoyed a good laugh with him and his sidekick brother Bob.  From the game feed at Casey's Barn, DU events and deer hunting in Nantucket to just around town he made me laugh. Class guy by my standards. So sorry to hear of his passing but he will be with his cohort Bobby again. I am sure they are going to have everyone in Heaven laughing 

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wagner Family. Carl's people skills and knowledge are very rare in today's world.
He will be sorely missed.

The profound sadness I feel at Carl's sudden passing is diffcult to express. I have worked for Carl for nearly 30 years and had known him longer than that. Back in the early 90's when the economy & construction fell apart, the company I had worked at for many years closed. Carl heard that I was out of work & called one day to offer me a job, even though business was tough, he wanted to help me out. I gratefully accepted & never looked back. Through many difficult personal & economic times, Carl was always there to be sure I had a paycheck.  Carl was a funny guy & loved to tell a good fishing story, of which I heard many.... He was a good man with honor & loyalty. I wish solice to Jean & his family in their grieving, I know he loved them all dearly.

Carl's name could never be mentioned in our Circle of Friends without reminding everyone of the Famous Summer Night @ Beechwood Ballpark, in one of our Classic, fun-loving Softball Games, when Carl - knowing his Brother-In-Law Joe D was the Leadoff Batter of the opponent  - spray painted a Grapefruit White. Our Baggy-Pants Pitcher, Mr Carl Wagner, served up a perfect Meatball of a Pitch to start the game, knowing too well Joe would 'jump all over it.' That he did, and, when the Grapefruit/ imitation Softball splattered into 1,000 pieces on contact, the absolutely stunned look on Joe's face, as well as the Umpires and everyone else in attendance, was priceless! For all of Us, as Carl's Teammates who were well aware of what the ultimate Prankster was up to, the game was delayed a good 10-15 minutes, until the last of Us could stop hysterically laughing!!
THAT is how I will always and forever remember Carl Wagner. May God Bless each and everyone of you, Rest in Peace my Friend.

I remember Carl from the days I worked at Shenanigans in  Canton. Top shelf gentleman. My husband and Carl were much closer.  He is in our prayers as well as his family. Carl will be remembered with great affection. God Bless
