Dorothy M. Rhoades, 77, passed away at her residence on Monday, August 9 , 2010 surrounded by her family. She was born in Cleveland, TN on Oct. 28, 1932 to Jim & Virginia (nee Moore) Hancock. She was married to Elmer Rhoades and he preceded her in death in 2004. She was a homemaker extraordinare. She will be remembered as a mother and grandmother to friends and family alike. She is survived by four sons: Joseph (Darieta) Strazzante, Monty Strazzante, Robert Kutchinski and John Kutchinski. One daughter: Sheila Graves. A sister: Bertha Nowak. She will also be missed by her 12 Grandchildren and one Great-grandchild.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Schererville, IN. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 13, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Martin and Pastor David Myers officiating. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.
