Doris Scott

Doris was born September 3, 1926 in Lake County, Indiana to the late Fred Pierce and Lillian (Reimers) Pierce-Studer. Also preceding her in death are her loving husband, Eddie Scott; daughter, Virginia Prince; sister, Lois Scott; grandson-in-law, John Ramsey; and great grandson, J.T. Ramsey.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Edward (Melody) Scott and Peggy (John) Parkinson; grandchildren, Sherri, Shanda, Dawn, Jason, Virginia, Shane, Dan (Betty), Rebecca (Stephen), Kimberly, and Kevin; great grandchildren, Caitlin, Zacharia, Lauren, Malcolm, Brianna, Kaylynn, Danielle, Lyndajia, Dan, Christian, Sebastian, and Bernadette; siblings, Betty (late George) Herren, Bob (Betty) Hartnup, Fred Pierce, and Richard (Nancy) Pierce; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She and her husband, Eddie, used to enjoy going to their river cabin where they fished and played cards. Doris also enjoyed gardening, crafts, watching her shows, and always had Alan Jackson playing in the background. She was a loving and devoted caretaker for her family and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Visitation will be Monday, July 17, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral at 12 noon at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375). Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. To leave online condolences, please visit www.chapellawnfunerals.com
