Paul E. Heisey, ordained minister of the Gospel, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 in his home just a few hours short of his 92nd birthday. He was the husband of Dorothy J. Kline Heisey to whom he was married to on November 27, 1947. He was born in Millbach Springs, PA on October 16, 1926, a son of the late Nathan P. and Ada Dickersheid Heisey. Paul was born again and baptized at the age of 12 and was called to serve as minister of the Gospel in 1963. He served at Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, Myerstown, PA; Welty Church of the Brethren, Smithsburg, MD; Youth Challenge International Bible Institute, Sunbury, PA; Blue River Church of the Brethren, Columbia City, IN; Old Furnace Church of the Brethren, Ridgeley, WV; Mount Olivet Church of the Brethren, Newport, PA. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters and four sons, Marcia L. wife of E. Alan Mummert, Denver, PA; Cynthia M. Heisey of Lititz, PA; Walter K. husband of Peggy (Hoover) Heisey, Newmanstown, PA; Dean R. Heisey of Goshen, IN; Marlin D. husband of Brenda (Martin) Heisey of Osterberg, PA; Kenneth K. husband of Dorinda (Fahnestock) Heisey of Manheim, PA; 24 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Ann, wife of William Kain of Pottstown, PA. He was preceded in death by twin granddaughters (Emily & Ericka); four brothers, Harold Heisey, Adam Heisey, Warren Heisey and Mark Heisey; and son in law, Stephen G. Jacoby. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 10:30 am in Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, 162 E. Reistville, Road, Myerstown, PA. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing on Sunday from 6 pm to 8 pm and Monday 9 am to 10:30 am at the church.
