Kermit James Kreiser, 82, passed away peacefully at Celebration Villa on Friday, March 15, 2024. He was the husband of the late Mary Ellen (Kurtz) Kreiser. Born in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania on August 14, 1941 to the late Charles and Ethel (Keener) Kreiser. He attended Newmanstown School.
Besides his loving wife and parents, he is also preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Miller, and brothers, Robert Kreiser, Ronald Paine, Charles (Kenny) Kreiser and Louis Kreiser. He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Miller; his four grandchildren, Joshua, and wife Dian Gundrum, Matthew, and wife Tricia Gundrum, Erin Miller, and John Reynolds; his seven great-grandchildren, Alexus, and husband Aaron Lingenfelter, Mackenzie Illyes, Adam Gundrum, Brynn Gundrum, Alexander Eberly, Chase Gundrum, and Callie Illyes; and one great-great-grandchild, Amara Lingenfelter. He is also survived by brother, Steven Kreiser (Ann) Newmanstown; and sister, Judy Bixler (Allen) Spotsylvania, VA, along with many nieces and nephews.
Kermit was a very funny and stubborn man, he was also a father, “Pop pop,” and a friend. He retired from North American Refractories before working at Blue Mountain Golf Course tending carts. Kermit was a very hard worker and loved to create many projects in his free time. There were not many things he couldn’t fix. He also enjoyed spending time with, talking to and looking at pictures of his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his great-great baby doll. Pop pop will be very missed, but we know he is now at peace with his wife. There will be a memorial service in Zion United Methodist Church, 1279 Heidelberg Avenue, Schaefferstown, PA, 17088 on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
