Edward G Shepler

Edward G. Shepler, 66, of Schaeffestown, PA, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 30, 2013 in his home. He was the husband of Susan M. Bender Shepler with whom he was married to for 45 years. He was born in Lebanon on August 12, 1946, a son of Cora Hartman Shepler of Womelsdorf and the late Walter Shepler. He was employed with Bethlehem Steel for 18 years and later worked for Exide Company, Hoffman Industries and Harrington Hoist Co. of Manheim. He was a member of the Heidelberg Sportsman Club. He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing and working on model trains. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are children, Brian E. Shepler of Muhlenburg; Christopher D. husband of Janell Shepler of Mohnton; Julie A. wife of Steven Krall of Reinholds; grandchildren, Courtney May Shepler, Brooke Shepler, Luke Shepler, Brayden Krall and Isabella Krall; sisters, Dorothy Lutz of Womelsdorf; Valerie wife of Todd Johnson of Newmanstown; He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Jeffrey Shepler. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM in the Clauser Funeral Home, N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown, PA. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM and Thursday from 9 to 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be made in the Richland Cemetery.
