Cecil Ray Sines

Cecil Ray Sines (CR), 75, Mohnton, PA, peacefully passed away on Monday October 23, 2023. He is the husband of Jenny (Janet) Louise (Mays) Sines, the son of the late Lawrence J. and Shirley M. Sines. Cecil was born on October 1, 1948, and grew up on the family farm in Swallow Falls, MD. Following high school graduation and upon receipt of being drafted, Cecil served at Wernersville State Hospital in PA, where he later met his wife from Womelsdorf, PA. He married on April 25, 1970, and moved to Baltimore, MD where he was employed for 42 years as a steelworker. Once retired, he relocated to Mohnton, PA. He attended the Allegheny United Church of Christ and served on their trustee committee. As a “jack of all trades,” he helped with numerous projects for friends and family. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, car shows, traveling, and calling the grandkids. He is preceded in death by his younger brother, Jeff Sines and grandson, Edgar McLean. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children: Cecilia “Lynn” (Greg McLean), Jennifer (Jeff Crownover), and James (Jennifer Sines). Siblings include Beverly Murphy, David Sines, Joe Sines, Mark Sines, and Nevin Sines. His grandchildren Clayton Crownover, Chase McLean, Jacob Sines, Garrett Crownover, Cecil McLean, Mitchell Crownover, Julia Sines, Sydney Crownover, Graham McLean, Heather McLean, and Jackson Sines.
