Barbara J. Poldergotch Herr

Barbara J. Herr, 82, formerly of Sheep Hill, died Saturday, November 5, 2011in Cedar Haven. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Herr, Sr. She was born in Edenburg, PA on October 13, 1929, a daughter of the late Louis and Frances Basach Poldergotch. Barbara loved cats, and enjoyed polka dancing, embroidering, latchhooking and craft work. She is survived by children, Arlene Herr Blouch and husband Eric of Phoenix, AZ; Eileen Herr Laudermilch and husband Howard of Scottsdale, AZ; Robert D. Herr, Jr and wife Carol of Palmyra; Loretta Zuck and husband Dennis of Ephrata; Brenda Miller and husband Karl of Schaefferstown; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Seidner of North Lima, OH; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Poldergotch; sisters, Helen Stirk, Gerry Sokol, Ann Balasko, Frances Walker, Kathryn Shirk and Mary Vitko. The Herr family appreciated the loving care provided by the staff of Cedar Haven. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 8th at 10:00 AM in the Clauser Funeral Home, N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown with a viewing beginning on Tuesday at 9:00 AM. Interment will be made in the Schaefferstown Cemetery.
