Stuart Lyle Singer passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, in Briarcliff Manor, New York, just days before his 63rd birthday. Born on April 17, 1962, in Boston, Massachusetts, Stuart lived a life marked by professional success, a passion for the outdoors and a love of family.
Stuart's academic journey began at The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey where he made some of his best and most enduring friendships. He went on to graduate from Columbia University in New York City and later earned an MBA from The Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. These formative years laid the foundation for a successful career and lifelong friendships.
Professionally, Stuart found both purpose and partnership in the Stephen L. Singer Inc. jewelry business he co-owned with his father in New York. Their collaboration was not only a testament to their shared entrepreneurial spirit but also reflected the deep familial bond that was central to Stuart's life.
A man of refined taste and quiet strength, Stuart was known for his impeccable taste in clothes and his gentlemanly demeanor. Outside of work, Stuart was an avid, expert skier. His love for the slopes was more than a hobby-it was a lifelong pursuit that brought him joy and challenge in equal measure.
The Stuart we remember best was a wonderful brother, son, father and friend. At heart, he was deeply committed to those he loved - a value that shaped many aspects of his life. Those who knew him will remember his unwavering loyalty and the warmth he brought into their lives. Stuart is survived by his children: Spencer Singer, William Singer, and Samantha Singer. He also leaves behind his mother Linda Singer and spouse, Lou Klein; his sister Juliette Singer and spouse, Ian Spinks; his brother-in-law, Steven Goldfarb and his former wife Sally Schweitzer. Stuart was predeceased by his father Stephen Singer and his sister Lauren Goldfarb. While often obscured by his health issues, Stuart loved his family very dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home, located at 824 Scarsdale Ave., Scarsdale, New York 10583. A reception will follow at the Quaker Ridge Golf Club, Scarsdale NY.
