I thought of Michael today. One thing led to another until I found my way here. I'm sorry to read of his passing. He inherited the Westchester Cycling Group from me, and boy did he take the wheel and run with it in ways I never could have! His motivation  was contagious and encouragement neverending.  He took up cycling as an older adult and his own health journey was an inspiration. He was even  featured in a magazine article in Westchester Senior Voice (look for the archive)  which in itself, connected me personally to a whole new professional network and path. The ripples of his influence remain vast! Carry on and ride your journey in his honor. 

Deepest sympathy on the loss of our dear cousin Michael.  So sad at his passing but so grateful for the lifetime of memories.  Michael was a very special person. His love for his family, his sense of humor and that smile that lit up a room. Michael and I grew up together. We were the first Grandchildren in the Lombardi family. We always thought that made us special. So happy that we were able to continue making wonderful memories on our trips up to New York to visit with Michael and his family. Gordon and I will never forget those fabulous times.  Rest in God’s peace until we meet again. 


Mike was the glue of much of the Westchester biking community. 
He was able to make people of many levels of ability comfortable riding with us. 
By leading many rides each week, he introduced rides where we had dinner and introduced many of us to new riding venues. 
I will continue to miss him, his enthusiasm and his cheerfulness. 
His memory will ride on with me.


We are so sorry for your loss.  I remember your dad at the kids games and family parties. Always so nice to talk to and so proud of his family. May he always be forever remembered and rest in the Peace of the Lord!

Michael was one of a kind. He didn't care what you looked like or where you came from, he treated everyone the same way. He always had a smile on his face and an encouraging word for the new riders.  He really enjoyed riding, especially with us.
I know I will really miss him.

I am heartbroken to hear of Michael’s passing. He was truly one in a million. I was new to Biking and  when I joined his group he was always right there by my side pushing me to my limit. . Several times I wanted to drop out of the group because I was such a novice but he would call and text me encouraging me to continue.  He was so supportive!
I will miss his  infectious smile, sense of humor , compassion for others and his positivity!

John and I know Mike from the Westchester Social Cyclists Bike Club. He was always a joy to ride with, loved his cycling groups, and loved being on the trail. He always had a positive attitude and a wonderful sense of humor. We will greatly miss talking to and riding with him.

Every time I ride a bicycle, I will think of Michael.   He was the heart and soul of our bicycling group and we will miss him dearly.   We spent many miles in and around the Hudson Valley with him and enjoyed every second of it.  He was a good friend. 

Our condolences to Marie, Kathy, Michael, Andrew, Justin and Gabriella.   He had a special love for all of you.
