Luz Perez

Luz Divina] was married to Roberto Perez Sr. on January 25, 1942; they were married 59 years.

Luz Divina is survived by her children, Flor Divina, Roberto Jr, Alicia, Sandra, Moses, Jasmine, Sabina, their spouses, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren, her sister Angelita Cruz, and many nieces, and nephews.

Luz Divina is preceded in death by her husband Roberto Perez Sr.

Luz Divina was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on December 15, 1926. She graduated from high school and continued on to receive a certification from The Singer Sewing Company.

Luz Divina worked as a seamstress for The Singer Sewing Company for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, singing, dancing, arts and crafts and playing with her grandchildren. She was also actively involved in Little Sisters of Hope, Wounded Warriors, Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and many other charities and organizations.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00am on January 13, 2022 at The Church of Immaculate Heart of Mary. Monsignor of The Church of Immaculate Heart of Mary will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral Mass at Mount Hope Cemetery at 11:30am. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes.
