.John G. Riverso passed away at the age of 59, Monday, June 15, 2015 after battling with bile duct cancer. John was born in White Plains, New York on June 19, 1955 to Raphael G. Riverso and the late Nadia E. Riverso. He spent his childhood growing up in Scarsdale with his 3 brothers and 3 sisters. John was a graduate of Fordham Prep and attended Manhattan College. He was an Exempt Member and Assistant Volunteer Chief of the Greenville Fire Department and a volunteer for the Scarsdale Ambulance Corp. John spent more than 32 years working in the construction industry completing significant and notable projects throughout Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Nassau and Suffolk Counties. John had a passion for the outdoors.
John is survived by his loving wife, Arlene Campbell Riverso; his three children Cara (Concord, CA), John (New Orleans) and Christopher; father Raphael G. Riverso, brothers and sisters Vincent (Denise), Stella, Raphael, Maria Cameron (Bob), Milo (Michele) and Pia (Bruce Brigandi); and nephews and niece Michael, Anthony, Nadia and Peter.
A wake will be held at Bennett Funeral Home in Scarsdale on Friday, June 19, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be said on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scarsdale, New York. Cremation to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, New York, NY
