Dear Joan and family,

Jack was a wonderful man whose company I always enjoyed. I'll always remember the time when I was a child and Jack told me how early he got up in the morning and I was so shocked and amazed, not thinking it was possible to be up so early! 

I have so many happy memories of classic American barbecues at your place, chatting to Jack on the deck.
