John Bruno

John Bruno peacefully passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 at 82 years old. John was born on April 12, 1938 in the Bronx, New York to the late Pasquale and Grace Bruno. John was a union painter for the City of Mount Vernon Department of Public Works and the Shop Steward for the Local 456 Teamsters. He was a passionate New York Yankees fan. John was married to his beautiful, predeceased wife Marilyn, and is survived by his two devoted daughters Lisa (Phil) Pinto and Pamela Bruno . He is the cherished grandfather of his four grandchildren, Lauren, Philip, Sophia, and Tyler. John was the most proud of his family and they were the light of his life. He had a special way of making all of his friends feel as though they were part of his family. John especially enjoyed treating his loved ones to a good meal with lots of laughs.

A memorial mass to celebrate John’s life will follow at a later date.
