Jeanne M. Queenan (nee Driscoll) passed away peacefully at the age of 93 in Southington, CT on November 13, 2022. She was a resident of The Orchards Assisted Living community for the last three years. Born in Bronx, NY on July 4, 1929 to John Driscoll (a firefighter) and Helen Driscoll (nee McArdle, a homemaker) she grew up with her three brothers. After finishing high school she went on to work at the Dollar Savings Bank. It’s at the bank where she met her loving husband, John M. Queenan. After they married, they settled in Scarsdale, NY where she lived as a homemaker for 47 years. Together they raised three daughters. She loved to volunteer her time at IHM School as a reading coordinator in the Great Books program, and as a member of the St. Veronica’s Guild at Immaculate Heart of Mary, her beloved church. She was a woman of great faith, always proud of her Irish heritage, and an avid fan of the NY Yankees. Jeanne loved reading, crossword puzzles, family game nights, and was especially fond of summers in Wells Beach, ME where she vacationed from childhood.
Predeceased by her husband of 56 years, she is lovingly remembered by her daughters Susan Bonanni of Duluth, GA, Eileen Queenan of Waukesha, WI and Maureen Auletta of Southington, CT. Proud grandmother to Kyle Queenan, Connor Stefanski, Kaitlin Stefanski, Faith Auletta, Joseph J. Auletta and Evangeline Auletta. She is predeceased by her brothers John (Jack) Driscoll and Rev.
