She was born in Queens, NY on October 5, 1958 to the late Roberto and Luz Perez. She grew up in a loving, creative and musical home with her siblings Flor Divina, Roberto (Judy), Alice, Sandra (Michael), Moses (Emily), and Sabina (Toni-Ann). As the true creative, she pursued many careers throughout her life, yet her last was at MGM Empire City Casino as the Executive Secretary.
She is survived by her children Kasime (Alex) Mirsky and Justin (Linda) Rodriguez and her grandchildren Jaily, River, Simon, and Romi, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a devout Seventh Day Adventist and an involved member of her church.
Jasmine will always be remembered for her beautiful singing voice, her delicious cooking and baked goods, her crafts, her outgoing personality, her sense of humor, and most of all her infectious smile.
Jasmine was a true warrior and an inspiration for all who knew her or knew of her. She will be tremendously missed by all.
