George is also survived by his four children--Douglas Marshall, Christopher Marshall, Melissa Kelly, Tracy Kelly, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Florence Kelly.
Born in Manhattan on August 2, 1935, George spent his youth in Hastings, NY, proudly graduating high school from The New York School for the Deaf, where he was an avid athlete and coach. Throughout his 30-year career as a manager with First National Supermarkets, George and Constance lived in Westchester before enjoying retirement at their home in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
George was well known for his love of all things whimsical, decorating his home for every holiday imaginable. He also had an extensive collection of toy trains. He enjoyed these passions as a hobby, but also delighted in sharing them with others.
A Memorial Service will be held at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes, 824 Scarsdale Ave., Scarsdale, NY, on Wednesday, March 4th from 5:00pm – 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to New York School For The Deaf Foundation, 555 Knollwood Road, White Plains, NY, 10603.
