He was born in Mount Vernon and lived in Eastchester for many years. Mr. Bruno was a Professional Engineer, educated from Edison High School in Mount Vernon and Cooper Union College. He worked for NYU for many years before his retirement.
He was born March 13, 1933 and was predeceased by his father, Paul, mother Filomena and wife, Eleanor.
He married Eleanor Aquilino on February 20, 1955 and was the father of Paul (Carlene), Edward, Jr. (Donna), Richard (Lisa), Thomas (Patricia) and Lisa (Jaime). He was also the beloved grandfather of Nicole, Paul, Craig and Matthew and great grandfather of Paul and Emily.
A husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, Army Veteran, friend and mentor will be missed. His sense of humor, love of sports (especially baseball), and a most giving personality will never be forgotten.
A mass is scheduled for Mr. Bruno for Thursday, October 4 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale followed by burial in Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
The family will receive friends at the Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY on Wednesday, October 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
