Carla L. Carone

Carla L. Carone, passed away on January 14, 2022, surrounded by her family who adored and loved her more than anything in this world. Carla fought a courageous battle against colon cancer with strength, grace, and resilience, as with everything life presented to her.

Carla was born on March 22, 1961 to Carmine and Eileen D’Alessio. She was raised in Bronx, NY, and dutifully served her community as a teacher’s aide in the Eastchester School District for 20 years. Her leadership, dedication, friendship, and kindness was admired by the community and her students.

Carla was most devoted to her family, friends, and students. She always took pride in going above and beyond for the people she cared about and loved the most. She was passionate and proud of what she accomplished in her life, and took most pride in being a mother and a grandmother.

Carla is survived and cherished by her husband of thirty-two years, Anthony, her daughter Alexa, and her grandson Carter. She is also survived by her siblings Steven (Lynn) D’Alessio and Andrea D’Alessio (Mark), sister-in law Christine (Billy) Torregrossa, brother-in law Michael Carone, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Carmine and Eileen D’Alessio, and her in-laws, Nicholas and Rose Carone.

Carla’s impactful legacy as an incredible mother, wife, grandmother, friend, colleague, and role model will continue to shine through her loved ones. Although she is no longer with us, she by no means lost her fight.

A visitation for Carla will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at Immaculate Conception, Winterhill Rd, Tuckahoe, NY 10707. A committal service will occur Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Ferncliff Crematory, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY 10530.
