To my dearest Mommy, 
I feel so blessed to have worked with Mommy. I used to read the bible and sang songs with her. She always called me Suzi, and we used to sing the popular “Suzi” song together . I have many happy memories with her. Although the time we spent together was short,  I truly enjoyed every moment. 
Being with her reminded me that age is just a number. She loved singing and always had a joyful smile on her face. 
Mommy was very lucky to have such loving and caring children . They looked after her so well and always kept her company. 
May her soul rest in peace until we meet again.

My sincere condolences to the MacDonald family.
Living on either side of a semi-detached home made our families very familiar with each other. In fact, Kay generously allowed my sister and I into her home and looked after us when we were small children. This was when I witnessed how hard-working she was, caring for her husband, all of her children, and us as well.
Thank you for everything Mrs. MacDonald. Rest peacefully.

So very sorry to the MacDonald family.   You were all blessed with a sweet caring mother.   One of the hardest people to lose is your mother, who was with you your whole life.   I hope that you will all find comfort in the memories you have of her, and know that she loved you all for each of your days.   She was a dear sweet Aunt Kay to me and I will always remember how she would call and check in on my Dad Raymond, or Bud to most, to make sure he was doing well.    She cared for everyone and was a truly special, unique woman.   Thinking of all of you.

Being able to visit my Mom, every moment a gift.

Mom, we were so lucky to have you live to be 89 years old. The sweetest 89 years ever lived.

Despite that luck, losing you is the hardest loss ever,  Dad being about the same. Danielle was tough, being only 16, and Bobby passed tragically.  All hard. Most hard on you. 

Mom, you brought more happiness, kindness, and sheer positivity to more lives than anyone.  My wife Analyn (Ana) might get there, but she’ll need 89 years to do it. You loved Ana as soon as I did; you and Ana understood each other, even when I was lost at what the heck you both were saying.

I can’t tell you how deeply saddened I am. I write because I can barely talk about you at this time. 

Mom. I’m sorry for the times I failed to keep you happy and comfortable; for times I’ve disappointed you,  times you disagreed with me, and my inability to resolve everything. You still accepted things as they were. You still proclaimed your love for us all. 

I will never be the person you were, Mom. The good qualities I may have come from you and Dad. Ana says that my soft side comes directly from you.

Finally, I’m astounded that you were unconscious for maybe three days, yet came out of it for your kids. I thought I might never get to talk to you again, so I asked….. no, I begged you to come back to me, if you could. The next day, you did. You wanted to see us all one last time. You could only whisper, and it was mostly “I love you all”. 

Your coming back was a gift, Mom,  an unbelievable final gift you gave to us. I will always be thankful for that. That also brings tears. Ana says you wanted to help us with losing you. Once again, and in your wonderful life’s final chance, you were “there” for your children.

It’s really hard to lose such an incredible person. I’m so proud of my wonderful, beautiful Mom, who was loved far and wide. Thank you for everything, Mom, from the bottom of my very broken heart. I can get through this, but only because of the strength and love that you have given to me.

This was in June 2020, everything was on lockdown during Covid. This was one of the terrible times Mom had to endure, with no visitation for months. Mom, your wonderful will to live got you through this, and many other tough times. That will to live was there to the very end. You were amazing!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this difficult time. 
 I met Kate several times when I worked  with Jim on the Fire Dept.

It is so sad to let go of somebody that was so precious & wonderful. I called her my aunt Kay though really she was my very 
“special kay” I have so many wonderful memories to hold within my heart that I can’t seem to put into words properly she was so kind  thoughtful  since I was a little girl from The  phone calls over so many years on birthdays  or just to say hello to when she would walk into the room and you would see her &  she just would light up the room with her beautiful smile, the kindest heart I have ever known I share with you that she has been taken from this earth, I know she’s an angel above because she was an angel here on Earth I know she will continue to walk beside us unseen unheard  I will forever remember you. I will continue to talk to you until we meet again your niece Christine,

Dear Aunt Kay:  Always having room for one more, you took me in when I was starting grade 10 at a new high school.  Our family was moving to Scarborough but closing date wasn't until late Sept. Instead of missing starting day, you found room for me, doubling up my cousins so that I could have my own bed.  Thank you cousins. Such fun in a busy household, big hugs & kisses, your constant smile & reassuring words.  I don't ever remember seeing a frown on your beautiful face.  A joyful wedding shower, inviting so many the house was overflowing with family & gifts.  I was so proud when asked to babysit, I had more fun than the kids who loved playing tricks. Overflowing the dishwasher using too much soap, you thanked me for washing the kitchen floor.  A sense of humour & that smile etched it my brain forever. At the end of a phone call saying "so nice to hear your voice". Going out on Saturday night with my Mom & Dad, favourite tunes of Edith Piaf & Lucille Starr on the stereo the kids singing along in French.  Your bright loving light is shining down on all of your loved ones as an Angel from Heaven.  You faced suffering with courage & acceptance, I never heard you complain, always making time for others.  A source of inspiration for all who know & love you. We will miss your generosity & loving kindness always.  So many fond memories.  It's comforting to know we will see you again on the other side. It is with deep sadness we say goodbye to Aunt Kay, she will be missed . She was a lovely gentle lady who cared so much for everyone. She was a wonderful memory of my childhood our visitations with her and our cousins were always fun. It is now time for her to join the rest of her family and watch us from above.

Heartfelt condolences to the Macdonalds on the loss of their very special mother.  I am grateful for my memories of her sweet nature and fun spirit.  I remember her inviting me to play volleyball with her and the girls on weeknights in Goretti’s gym.  Who has nine kids and can spare a thought for anyone else’s? She was a remarkable lady!

Mrs. Macdonald was a very kind, loving mother.....her voice was amazing and could hold a note or two...she loved A White Sport Coat, that I heard was a favorite but I'm sure there were more. I grew up with the family as youngsters and remember many stories about the family. Kay was a special lady and will be missed by many who knew her.RIP Kay ❤️
