Julia Humbal

Julia was born in Gasinci Croatia of the former Yugoslavia on October 10, 1923. She immigrated to Canada with her husband and son in 1953.

After 65 years of marriage, Julia was predeceased by her husband Peter Humbal. Julia is survived by her son Steven Humbal (Sherry) and daughter Maria (Robert Biermann), grandchildren Erich Humbal (Lynn), Mark Humbal, Jessica (Eric Snyder), Jakob Biermann (Shauna) and great grandchildren Julia, Stephanie and Erich Humbal, Ella and Jace Biermann, Kayla Snyder and Liam Humbal

Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother will be remembered for many things but mostly for her determination to keep as much independence as possible and the courage it took her to endure these past few years right up until the day she passed.

If desired, in memory of Julia, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

A visitation for Julia will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R2Y8, followed by a chapel service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.

Due to the COVID guidelines guests are still required to follow the mandate of two metres (six feet) physical distancing. Proof of vaccination and identification is required to be presented at this time. There is not a limit to the number of guests that may attend. Upon entry to the funeral home guests will be required to provide their contact information for the purpose of contact tracing. Masks or face coverings are required indoors.
