Cora Theresa Quinlan

Cora was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary Ann Quinlan (nee Curran). She was also predeceased by her siblings, Michael, Maureen (Teddy), Terry (Maureen), Sean (Ann), Des (Alice), Thomas, Pascal, Angela and Frances (Bill). She is survived by her nieces, Cora Lynn (Bobby), Loretta Ann, Angela “Vickie” (Tony), her great-nephews Sean (Rachel), Johnathon (Kayla), Josh (Michelle), her great-great nieces Jasmine and Keira and her great-great nephews Kingston and Declan. Beloved aunt to the Quinlan Clan in Balbriggan, Ireland, Terry Jr. (Tess), Angela (Sean-deceased), John (Mary-deceased), Catherine (Edward), Des (Christine) and Thomas (Peggy-deceased). Fondly remembered by Marianna and John and her many nieces and nephews in Ireland. Cora was born June 26, 1930 in Dublin, Ireland and came to Canada at the age of 26. She resided with her sister Frances, Frances’s husband Bill and their family and was like a second mother to their children. She worked at the T. Eaton Company for over 36 years. She was a faithful, devoted Catholic and attended mass daily. Those Catholic values rooted her in her life and she said prayers daily in her room. She was a member of the Legend of Mary and was devoted to the Good Shepherd and gave of her time by knitting hats and socks for the homeless men. She was a loving, witty, content, strong human being. She was an exceptional knitter and baker, she enjoyed bike riding and loved to travel. She had many adventures to Ireland, England, Germany, Wales, The Holy Land, U.S. and Alaska. She was our second mom. How blessed we were to have two moms. You will be greatly missed. We love you so much. Love Vickie and family xxoo.

A visitation for Cora will be held Monday, October 31, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R 2Y8. A funeral mass will be held at Precious Blood Parish, 1737 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto, ON M1R 2X7 on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM . Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery, 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, ON M1K 1R1. If desired, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Ministries, 412 Queen Street East, Toronto, Ontario M5A 1T3.
