It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Charles Toshach Watson. He was born in Toronto. He lived at 99 Oakcrest Street in Toronto. His parents were born and raised in Hartlepool England also where three of his sisters were born and they migrated to Canada.
Charles was born on February 25, 1933 and passed on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the age of 90. He passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Toronto.
Doting husband of deceased wife Marguerite Ann Watson. Loving father of Kim, Scott wife Mary Elizabeth, Steven and Chris. Proud Granda of Derek, Aaron wife Crystal, Travis, Connor, Claire and Ian. Cherished brother of Betty, Edna, Marjorie, twin sister Ann and June. Brother in law to Frank, Jim, Gerald, Mary and respected uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Charles was a very proud, intelligent and giving man. He was talented in so many areas. Charles could fix and build anything. He enjoyed woodworking, stain glass cutting, reading and doing puzzles. Charles also helped his wife with her quilting and rug hooking projects.
Charles devoted his life to his family. He provided for his family physically, emotionally and financially. He would help anyone in need. Charles loved and was proud of all his grandchildren and showed up to all their events cheering them on. Charles loved and appreciated nature. He often went for long canoe trips at the cottage.
Thanks to the kind and caring nurses at Centenary Hospital and the nurses at Northumberland Hills where he passed away peacefully and was able to watch the birds around a bird feeder outside his window.
Visitation is at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON M1K2B5. Viewing at 10:00am and service at 11:00 on Thursday, May 4, 2023.
