Stella Simon Moore, 63, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at her residence with her family at her bedside, under the loving care of Hospice Savannah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles P. and Aspasia George Simon. Stella was born in New Port News, VA and has lived in Savannah all of her life. She was a 1969 graduate of Jenkins High School. Stella and her husband Jimmy were the former owner of Ardsley Park Florist, Office Lounge and J & S package shop. She was a former member of the daughters of Penelope and St. Barbara's Philoptochos. Stella loved everybody and everybody loved Stella and will be greatly miss by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jimmy Moore of Savannah; a brother, Pete Simon of Savannah; an aunt, Pat George; an uncle, Nick George, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00pmThursday, Aug. 6, 2015 at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church with a Trisagion Service at 7:00pm. Funeral Service: 11:00am, Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church. Burial to follow service in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
