Lois was born in Akron, Ohio, but moved to Savannah as a young girl. She attended Chatham County Public Schools, and was a graduate of Commercial High School, Class of 1955.
After graduation, she was employed at Levy’s Department Store and the C & S Bank. In 1956, Lois married Joe Conner. They had one son, Paul Jeffrey Conner.
In 1966, they surrendered their lives to the Gospel Ministry. Lois and her husband, Rev. L. Joe Conner served churches in three states from 1967 – 2001. After retirement they returned to Savannah, to live near their family. While in Savannah, they served several churches in the Area as Interim Pastor.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. L. Joe Conner, one son, Paul Jeffrey Conner (Amber), brother, William Lee Watson (Debbie), sisters, Linda W. Smith (Eddie), and Brenda W. Boulware, two grandsons, Ryan P. Conner, and Michael J. Conner, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 7 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with interment in Hillcrest West Cemetery, in Garden City, Ga.
