Mr. Joseph Moraigne Pinckney

Joseph Moraigne Pinckney (Joe Raine), of Savannah, GA., passed away, peacefully , on Friday, October 21, 2011, at St. Joseph's Hospital. His family was at his side. Joe is the only child of the late Dr. Reginald W. and Maxine J. Pinckney of Willow Grove, PA. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 46 years, Veda J. Pinckney; his son, Michael R. Pinckney and his wife, Shelby of Marlborough, CT.; his daughter, Robyn V. Draugelis and her husband Michael of Manchester, CT.; four cherished grandchildren; Brandon Todd, Casey Lynn, Alyssa Nicole and Jared Michael Pinckney; and many special family members and friends. Joe graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA. with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. He moved from Doylestown, PA. in 1975 for a position at Aetna Life & Casualty. He retired from Aetna after 28 years of service. He moved to Savannah after retiring and returned to the workforce by joining the management team at Hobart Corporation in Richmond Hill, GA. He retired from there in 2009. Friends are invited to join the family on Tuesday October 25th for a Memorial Service to be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home Hubert C. Baker Chapel 7415 Hodgson Memorial Dr. Savannah, GA. 31406. Visitation hours are 5:00 - 6:00 pm with the Memorial Service beginning at 6:00. A Catholic Mass and Burial will be at a later date in Pennsylvania where he will be laid to rest with his parents.
