Born and raised in a military family, she lived in numerous countries and states before settling into Savannah.
She was preceded in death by her Father, James L. Everett and Mother, Kay Durden Everett Hathaway.
Left behind to cherish Jan’s memories are her Life Partner and Companion, John Wayne Harden; her stepfather, Kenneth Allen Hathaway (Jane) of San Jose, Calf; one aunt, Fay Jenkins Smith (Steve) of Guyton, Ga.; one uncle, Kenneth Everett (Arlene) of Mt. Home, Idaho; several Cousins; and her beloved Cat, Ace.
Janet was often described as “The Sweetest Human being to ever breathe God’s air” by her companion. She had a special heart for all Dogs and Cats.
Life was sometimes a struggle for Jan since a bicycle accident at the age of six. She met the many challenges with a smile. She was a survivor and will be forever remembered by her family and friends as a real trooper.

Funeral Service: 10 am Friday in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Rev. Marty McKenzie officiating.
