Geraldine Gerry G. Spear

Gerry was a charter member of Whitfield United Methodist Church, were she taught the kids Sunday School Class; she was retired from the Board of Education after 20 years of service. She enjoyed playing Bridge, Bowling, and was a member of the Geechee Gofers Square Dancing Club.

Her husband of 55 years preceded her in death, Coach James “Turp” Spear along time High School Football Coach.

Survivors are, a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Lynn Spear of Savannah, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Leigh and Chuck Gilmer of Philadelphia, PA; two granddaughters, Jamie Lynn Sims (Will) and Rebecca Leigh Spear both of Savannah, GA

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.

Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013 in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Dr. Grover Bell officiating,’

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
