She was born in Effingham County, and was preceded in death by her husband, Angus Clifton Exley of 53 years of Marriage. She was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Wilbur K. Bragg,
She was the daughter of Willie J. and Marie Bragg. She had lived in Savannah for 60 years, until she moved to Magnolia Manor, Richmond Hill in April 2000. She is a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a former member of Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church.
In Aldersgate, she was a member of the Louise Freeman Sunday School Class, the Cox Circle of Love and she was the Family Coordinator.
She was a former member of Asbury United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Busy Bees, the Grow Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Women, and the Altar Guild. .
She retired from J. C. Penney’s as a Saleslady after 30 years of service.
Since moving to Richmond Hill, she attended the Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Burnard C. Exley (Candice) of Richmond Hill, and Royce B. Exley (Erolyn),of Canton, GA; four granddaughters, Melinda Exley, Melodie Sheppard (Danny), Jill E. Noojin (Brian), and Amy E. Baker (Andy); three great granddaughters, Allison and Jennifer Sheppard, and Lindsey Noojin; one great grandson, Bryson D. Baker; two sisters, Ree Lee Exley, Beverly Crapps (Sonny); one brother, Melton L. Bragg (Angela), and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Charles Wilson, Mike Bragg, Stanley Exley, Mark Crapps, Eric Bragg, Johnnie Seckinger, Wendell Wilson, and William Tumlin.
Visitation: 3 – 6 p.m. Sunday, at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Monday, in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. Steve Meguiar, and Rev. Madison Morgan, officiating.
Interment: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
