Mrs. Eleanor Hall Crosby, age 82, passed away Thursday at The Place at Pooler under the care of Hospice Advantage. She was a native and longtime resident of Savannah. Mrs. Crosby was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she was very active in the choir. She was a former member of Bible Baptist Church where she also sang in the choir. Mrs. Crosby was also a member of Youth for Christ, and the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where she was a major part of the radio revival program. She was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion R. Hall, Sr. and Miriam Moore Hall, her husband, Robert C. Crosby, Sr., her brother, Marion R. Hall, Jr., two sisters, Mary Ruth Dempsey and Betty June Prince.
Survivors include her children, Beth C. White (Kit) of Savannah, Diane C. Leopard (Billy) of Pooler, and Robert C. Crosby, Jr. of Guyton; one granddaughter, Kira W. Tucker (Scott) of Pooler; and her sister, Barbara “Tootsie” Dixon (Gordon) of Orlando, FL.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
