He was born in Savannah, GA., was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church. Savannah Bowling Association, Landings Association 1981-2001 (built) and Paul and Andy Baseball team in late 1940’s. He was the owner of Summerlin Stocco and worked at Union Camp in the 1950’s. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force Natonal Guard. He loved his wife of 60 years and family dearly, was a hard working man , had a contagious smile and would do anything for anyone. His Hobbies were Georgia Sports; Braves, Falcons and a fanatic Georgia Bulldog fan.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia “Patty” Summerlin.
He is survived by two sons; Claude “Eddie” Edward Summerlin, Jr. (Linda) and Nick Hinson; grandson, Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Rahn, Jr. (Laura); granddaughter, Lisa Summerlin Harrison (Ron); great-grandchildren, Tyler and Brianna Harrison, Brittany and Katelyn Rahn.
Visitation: 6 – 8 pm Wednesday July 9, 2015 at Fairhaven Funeral Home Hubert C. Baker Chapel 7415 Hodgson Memorial Dr. Savannah, GA. 31406.
Funeral Service: 11 am Thursday in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Midway United Methodist Church Midway, GA.
