HUPKA, Victor Earl “Deda” – Gone to be with his love, he went peacefully with family by his side on Friday, January 17, 2014. Loving husband of the late Elsie. Devoted Dad of Vicki and her husband Terry Mitchell. Deda to Kim, Jessica (Kyle), Steven (Janine), and Trisha. Brother of the late Velma Soyatt (late John) and the late Sally Hupka. Proud brother-in-law to Matt and Amelia Yukich, Martin and Kay Yukich, Tony Yukich, Joe and Florence Yukich, Helen and Louis Morosini, Minnie and Armand Cedolia, Mary and Joe Grisevich, Dora Yukich, and Rose Yukich. The one and only Uncle Vic to countless nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by lifelong friends and former colleagues of Algoma Central Railway. A special thank you to his “personal nurse” Maureen Tremblay and countless other staff at the Sault Area Hospital; who made Vic feel like a rock star. Victor was a man of unrivalled character, loyalty and strength. His marriage to Elsie taught us how to love, his wisdom helped us grow, and his riddles taught us perspective. Please join us in celebrating his life at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre for visitation on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 6 – 9 pm. Mass to follow at St. Gregory’s Parish on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 11 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be welcomed.
