Never losing hope for a miracle cure, Terry has lost his battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife Shirley Neveu (Babe) and loyal companion Kota. Son of the late Lois McFadden and the late Mervyn Burch. Father of Tara, Crystal, Mike, Vicki and Billie-Jo. Step-Father to Jodie Neveu (Melanie) and Mike Gadke (Amanda). Brother of Karen Vincentini (Robert), late Ron Burch, late Ken Burch, Janice Burch, Debbie Robinson (Dave), Kim Morrar (Brian) and Cathy Bardawill (Moe). Brother-in-law of May Brooks (Jim), Margaret Neveu, Len Neveu (Sheila), Rose Walshe (James), late Janice Aiudi, Dave Neveu (Wendy), Willie Neveu (Kelly), Ray Neveu (Lorna), Helena Neveu and Theresa Neveu (Melissa). Survived by many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Terry was always the first one to lend a hand, never needing coaxing to help someone in need. He had a welcoming smile and infectious laugh that the neighbours loved. He was the first to crack a joke, poke you in the side or wrap you in a big hug as a show of his emotion. The man of great one line zingers. He was a Macgyver of many disciplines but most gifted as a welder. He was a master of the washer toss and horseshoe pits.
The family would like to thank Homecare Workers; Lee, Jeff, Donna Rae, Dawn and Tia, the P.S.W. who stole his heart. A special thank you to ARCH Hospice staff who exemplify the meaning of compassion (Sassy Erica). Thank you to Doctor's Spadafora, Hemy and Booth for their care, compassion and expertise.
In keeping with Terry's wishes, there will not be a funeral. Cremation will occur and a Celebration of Life planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ARCH or SAHF - Cancer Care Fund. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Burch family.
