She is now reunited with Delmar, her late, beloved husband of 50 years. Loving mother of John (Melanie), Gary (Christine) and Stacey (Jacqui). Adored grandmother of Mandi (Will), Eric, Tyler (Ashley), Jack, Kai, Dylan (Slate), Shea (Spencer) and Brock. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Nancy Rogozynski as well as her sister Anne Scherbak (late George) and her brother Mike Rogozynski (late Trudy). She will be greatly missed by her younger brother Richard Rogozynski (late Marlene). Also predeceased by Delmar’s parents, Francis "Frank" and Ellen "Nellie" Brown of Hilton Beach. Dear sister-in-law of June Reed (Dick), Wilma Graham (late Glen), the late Gordon Brown (late Irene), the late Morris “Pete” Brown (late Marion), the late Lester Brown (late Shirley), the late Charles “Buck” Brown, and the late Frances Brown. Stella will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and the many friends and acquaintances she had made over the years.
Born in Espanola Ontario, Stella was raised and became a lifelong resident of Sault Ste. Marie. After putting herself through college, Stella worked for many years at the ACR as a bookkeeper, where she met and made many lifelong friends. Never one to sit still, if family or friends dropped by, Stella could more often than not, be seen heading to the kitchen to whip together some snacks or maybe a meal. Stella also always enjoyed helping-out where needed; checking on family, friends and neighbours to make sure they were looked after. In their final years together Stella and Delmar spent their summers at their trailer in Hilton Beach which became their second home.
A special thank you to the nursing staff at the F.J. Davey Home - Driftwood 3 Unit (often referred to by Stella as “Hey Lady”), who made Stella’s final years comfortable ones and her final journey a peaceful one.
In keeping with Stella’s wishes a Private Family Ceremony will be held at a later date in Hilton Beach.
In lieu of flowers memorial donation payable online or by cheque to the F. J. Davey Home would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. -705-759-2522). Expressions of sympathy may be offered at the www.arthurfuneralhome.com
