We were both deeply saddened to learn of Pat's passing. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to the McIntyre family on your loss. We were next door neighbours to the McIntyres for a couple of years in the mid seventies and the whole family was always welcoming, always very kind and always very understanding. Our sons were a few years younger than Pat and he was an important mentor to them. We particularly recall the help he gave the boys with their golf game...which he happily volunteered. It's been a very tough year for the McIntyre family and we share your grief. With love.

I was extremely saddened to receive the news from Andres last weekend of Pat's passing and my sincerest condolences go to his family.

I am thankful that I was able to come up from Toronto in mid-April for a brief visit. However, I was unable to attend the funeral due to a work commitment that I could not re-schedule.

I always enjoyed Pat's company when he visited Toronto...either at my local poolhall or on the golf course,  as well as when I visited the Sault and we inflicted ourselves on Top Hat Billiards!

He is missed....

With a heavy heart I share in your sadness at this time. I am Margaret Daigle's granddaughter Sheree. Pat, was like a Guardian Angel to me in my young life after my grandmother died. He was always there for my brother and I. He would come to visit and check in on us, he always brought us places (to movies, and concerts) he genuinely cared for, loved and protected us. He was always looking out for our safety. Pat bought me the most beautiful dress for my grade 8 graduation - one that every little girl dreams of. He found a kilt for me to wear to Mount St. Joseph College because cost was an issue, and he knew how 'badly' I wanted to attend this school as part of my grandmother's wishes. He included us in his life for many years. Then the time must of come when he knew we were safe and he had his own family (whom I also shared time with). And so, our contacts were fewer. I would always hear how Pat was from time to time. I had a close friend who lived on Hawthorne. And he was busy loving other children and raising his own. Pat was the most kind, generous, giving and selfless man I have ever met. I always felt safe and very much cared for when spending time with him. I never have nor will I ever forget Pat. He made such an impact on my life and helped me in so many ways. I will always love him for that. God sends us his Angels for such a short time, but the impact they make and the lives they touch are profound. Thank you Pat, your gifts were generous and your love for children and those less fortunate will never be forgotten.

I have not seen Pat since I was a teenager.  He will always be young and sweet in my memory. Throughout his life, he has been surrounded by a family rich in love, faith and hope. May God continue His work in them and in the lives they touch.

Pat was a boyfriend in High School, he was a lot of fun, we would walk for hours, he enjoyed golf so much and I often thought he would go pro.  He also played pool on Gore St. and that's how he could afford to buy us a coffee or a pizza.  My mom and dad really enjoyed him as well with those long arms and legs he always had a smile.  I will never forget him he was a great guy.  I know Shani will be looked after by him he is with God and miracles do happen.

Pat was a great neighbour and always welcome in. Farewell old friend. Condolences to Pat's family and many friends.

I was so saddened to hear about Pat passing. I've been lucky enough to have been a friend of the family for many years. I've always thought Pat to be one of the nicest and kindest person I ever knew. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. Too young to lose. I'm sure your mom will be waiting to welcome you.

Pat and I go back to our high school years at St. Mary's College. I more recent times, we spent many a morning having a coffee and some very enjoyable conversation at Vincenzo's Restaurant on Queen St.. Pat was very insiteful and I always enjoyed our discussions on a variety of topics. I know him as good person and a great father. We will miss him.
